On's Cloudrunner 3 Max takes the brand's everyday road trainer and adds foam. The midsole is layered rather than uniform: Helion HF hyper foam sits up top to absorb impact, with a firmer Helion foam base underneath to keep the platform intact over months of running. The CloudTec cushioning system that surrounds them is engineered here for stability, and the shape reinforces it: a wide base and moderate forefoot rocker draw out ground contact, high sidewalls cup the foot against lateral roll, and a heel clip pins the rearfoot. A plush heel and tongue soften the fit, the engineered mesh upper is built to breathe, and the enhanced rubber outsole covers traction and durability. On rates it at an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop and roughly 330 grams in men's sizing, made in Vietnam.
