The Cloudhorizon 2 Mid Waterproof is the tallest and most protective shoe in On's Cloudhorizon hiking line. Cushioning comes from CloudTec Phase, with the Cloud geometry reworked for hiking rather than running so the heel-to-toe transition stays smooth over uneven ground, and a Helion superfoam midsole underneath for softer landings. The outsole combines On's Missiongrip rubber compound with a hiking-specific tread profile, and On rates the shoe for technical terrain. Protection is thorough: a waterproof membrane, an updated toe cap with zoned coverage, sidewalls adjusted for stability, and a soft padded collar around the mid-height ankle. On lists an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, about 320 grams in women's sizing, recycled polyester in the build and production in Vietnam.
