The X-Alp Alpine Echoes is a unisex lifestyle sneaker in Salomon's Sportstyle range, and one of the more heavily built shoes in that lineup. The upper mixes split-suede leather with ripstop nylon panels and a technical mesh meant to evoke pack fabric, over a leather and textile lining. Salomon frames the design around Alpine mountaineering tradition, using rope-style laces and collar embroidery that references cow bells. A protective toecap and a mudguard wrap the base of the foot, and the pair comes in black with earth brown and vanilla ice trim.
Underfoot is Salomon's edgingCHASSIS, a construction that keeps the forefoot flexible while adding lateral stability and edging control, with an OrthoLite diecut sockliner above it and All-Terrain contaGRIP rubber below for wet, dry, hard or loose ground.
