Salomon's XT-6 began as a trail and ultra-distance running shoe and now sits in the brand's Sportstyle catalog as a unisex sneaker. Its construction is unchanged in substance: a synthetic and textile upper over a breathable textile lining, with a protective toecap at the front and Salomon's quickLACE closure, a thin cord that pulls the whole shoe tight in one motion and tucks into a small pocket. Two internal elements handle hold, the sensiFIT band that wraps up from the midsole and the endoFit sleeve that surrounds the foot.
Cushioning is an EnergyCell midsole paired with the agileCHASSIS, which Salomon uses to add stability and damp out impact, and a molded OrthoLite sockliner sits directly under the foot. The outsole is Mud contaGRIP with deep lugs designed for loose and uneven ground. Salomon quotes a 10 mm heel-to-toe drop and 13 ounces per unit. This pair is scheduled to become available on August 1, 2026, as part of the brand's August sneaker releases.
