About the Vans LX Old Skool 36
A cluster of souvenir pins sits across the outer side of this Vans Old Skool 36 LX, including checkerboard, heart and yin-yang motifs. The Souvenir Navy Blue finish varies across the canvas, giving the upper patches of lighter and darker blue. Multicolored woven fabric forms the Sidestripe and tongue edge, while navy leather reinforces the heel and toe. Gray flat laces and visibly marked cream sidewalls continue the weathered appearance without covering the shoe's individual textures.
The construction pairs canvas and leather with a padded collar, metal eyelets and a Sola Foam ADC insole. Its higher glossy sidewall rises around the upper before meeting the waffle-pattern rubber outsole. Those details give the decorated version a defined material and cushioning package beyond the pins themselves.
