Instead of dyeing the upper one shade and letting the seams disappear, this make-up gives each cut piece its own colour. Black takes some panels, True White takes others, and the leather sidestripe lands across the boundary between them, so the trim that normally reads as decoration becomes a structural line. The effect is closest to looking at a pattern sheet with the pieces laid out before assembly.
Suede on both colours keeps the surfaces consistent, which matters on a two-tone shoe: mixing nap with smooth leather would have added a second variable the design does not need. It was priced at $60. The build below is the model's usual specification, with a padded ankle collar, a reinforced toe area, metal eyelets and a vulcanised rubber sole carrying the waffle tread. Black and white splits age unevenly by definition, since the pale panels grey while the dark ones hold, and that mismatch is generally considered part of the appeal.
