Using denim on a skate shoe has a built-in payoff: the fabric abrades and lightens exactly where the foot bends, so a pair looks different after a month than it did in the box. The Starry Night version leans into that by printing over indigo rather than leaving it plain, so the graphic sits on a base that is already going to move.
