Orchid Tint is one of the softer pastel names in the adidas Originals palette, a washed lilac that reads closer to grey in low light and closer to pink in sun. This women's exclusive uses it across the whole upper, which is the engineered mesh version of the NMD_R1 rather than Primeknit: a single-piece build with no stitched overlays, so the only breaks in the colour are the knit density changes that shape the toe box and midfoot.
Because the Three Stripes are tonal, the sidewall stays quiet and the shoe leans on proportion instead of contrast. The Boost midsole is Cloud White, and the EVA inserts at each end are colour matched to the upper rather than set against it, which is unusual for the line and the main reason this pair looks more like one moulded object than most releases in the series. It launched in July 2018 at $130, the standard mesh price that season. A white rubber outsole keeps the tonal logic all the way to the ground.
