The twenty-ninth Kayano is the last of the old order. ASICS overhauled the line for its thirtieth edition in 2023, replacing the support structure with an adaptive system, dropping in a far softer GEL formulation and widening the platform, and everything before that redesign now reads as the end of a long, incremental era rather than a step in it. This pair belongs to that outgoing generation and reached shelves well after the successor had launched, which is common for reflective builds: they are seasonal, aimed at winter and early spring, and often trail the main colour range by a year or more. Lime zest against a pale knit is the visible half; the reflective material worked through the overlays and heel is the half that only matters when a car's lights find it.
