Version 24 is the hinge in the GEL-Cumulus story. ASICS replaced it with a shoe that swapped FlyteFoam for a single layer of FF Blast Plus, moved the GEL inside as PureGEL, added 2mm of stack and still came out around 20 grams lighter: a larger change than the line usually takes in one step.
What the 24 represents is the older formula at its most developed: FlyteFoam through the midsole, a GEL unit at the rearfoot doing the impact work, an engineered mesh upper, and a neutral platform with no medial post. The line has been the ASICS everyday trainer since 1999, positioned for runners who want one shoe for most of their mileage rather than a rotation.
Dusk Violet with Pure Silver is quieter than the line often gets, and the metallic stripe treatment is the only element on the shoe asking for attention.
