Wide sizing is often the whole reason a runner ends up in a support model, and this is the wide build of the most changed GT-2000 in years. The twelfth version took what the Kayano 30 had introduced months earlier and applied it a tier down: PureGEL in place of the older heel unit, invisible from outside and rated sixty-five per cent softer, over a full-length FF Blast Plus midsole that lifted the stack to thirty-six millimetres at the heel and twenty-eight at the forefoot. Its guidance system is a simplified version of the Kayano's, without the arch element. Reviewers reported the smoothest rear transition the series had achieved and a shoe comfortable across easy days, long runs and mild uptempo work.
