Patchwork costs money on a shoe like this. A standard Chuck 70 upper comes from a small number of canvas pieces; splitting it into panels in four colours means more pattern pieces, more stitching and more chances for a seam to sit wrong. That is why this high-top carried 130 dollars when plain highs in the same line were selling for 85 to 90.
The four colours are black, forest green, egret and sand, arranged so that neighbouring panels stay close in tone rather than fighting each other, which is what the mono in the name points at. It released on 11 February 2020. Underneath, nothing changes: the taller glossy midsole with the foxing tape climbing high on the sidewall, a one-piece rubber outsole beneath the diamond tread, and the thick OrthoLite footbed that separates a 70 from the standard All Star.
