The Air Max 97 'White Silver' updates the Christian Tresser-designed running shoe with a white mesh upper and metallic silver panels across the sidewall's wave lines, a lighter companion to the original 1997 metallic make-up rather than a repeat of it. Nike released the pair on March 30, 2019 at $160, with an embroidered Swoosh finishing each sidewall.
A visible Air unit runs the length of the sole beneath the mesh, matched to the silver paneling above it. The shoe also carries the model's hidden lacing construction, tucking the lace loops under a strap rather than exposing them on the surface, a detail that has stayed unchanged on every Air Max 97 since the silhouette first reached runners in 1997 and later became a fixture of club and street style far beyond running tracks.
