The Terrascape treatment takes the Air Max 90 outdoors. The familiar panelled upper is rebuilt in synthetic materials and set on a taller, rougher sole unit with exposed foam, so the shoe stands noticeably higher than a standard 90 while keeping the visible heel Air window intact. This pair works in three blues. Obsidian covers the base, Marina lifts the accents, and Thunder Blue fills in the shading between them, a tonal scheme that hides scuffing better than the white-based versions the model usually ships in.
Nike put it out in April 2022 at $140. That sits above the $120 to $130 most Air Max 90 retros carried that season, which tracks with the extra tooling underneath. Terrascape versions are the clearest example of Nike treating the 90 as a platform rather than a fixed design. The proportions change, the materials change, and the outsole changes, but the panel layout and the heel window stay legible enough that the shoe is still recognisable at a glance.
