The second Kyrie Low kept its predecessor's cushioning layout (rectangular Air units at the heel and forefoot) but changed how it felt, softening the foam carrier that had made the first model firm underfoot. Reviewers picked the difference up immediately: still low to the floor and still responsive, with more give on landing. The support structure is the more interesting part. A wide base, a lateral outrigger, a midfoot plate and a rubber wrap around the upper handle containment, which matters more on a guard's shoe than raw cushioning does, because most of the load arrives sideways. This black version runs metallic silver through the branding and the trim, one of the plainer make-ups in a line that spent most of its run on bright graphic colourways. It arrived in late 2019, by which point the low-top had become the more commonly worn half of the signature range, in the league and on outdoor courts alike, where a lower collar and less material tend to win.
