The Cloudhorizon 2 is the standard, non-waterproof version of On's hiking shoe, built for anything from short walks to full days on moderate trails. Its cushioning is hiking-specific CloudTec Phase over a Helion midsole, and On rates the shoe at its maximum cushioning level. The outsole uses On's Missiongrip compound with larger lugs than the brand's road shoes carry, and a hike-specific toe guard covers the front of the foot. Stable sidewalls and a fit On says adjusts to most foot shapes handle security, while breathable upper layers and thick padding are meant for long days out. On lists an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, about 363 grams in men's sizing, recycled polyester in the build, and production in Vietnam.
Graphite and Eclipse is one of seven men's colorways for the model. On has it scheduled for September 3, 2026 at $180. That is the entry price for the Cloudhorizon 2 family (the waterproof low-cut costs $200 and the waterproof mid $220), and this version is the only one without a membrane.
