Peachskin gives this women's Classic 21 a soft, faintly dusty orange-pink across the whole brushed upper, with white confined to the Formstrip, the toe overlay and the sole. It went on sale February 19, 2021 at 70 dollars. The shade runs warmer than the pinks this line usually reaches for and sits closer to a faded terracotta, which is why it works in late winter instead of reading as a strictly spring colour.
Pale warm tones are the hardest thing to pull off in brushed leather, because the material shows every variation in the hide and any patchiness in the dye. Done properly, as here, the result has a depth no printed or coated upper can match, and the colour shifts slightly depending on which way the pile is lying. The white trim does more work than it appears to: without it the shoe would read as one soft smudge, and the hard line of the Formstrip is what gives the profile its shape. Protect it early. A peach upper is unforgiving of wet pavements, and the sole edge will discolour before the leather does.
