Pop Camo is a hybrid graphic: the silhouette of a camouflage pattern filled with the brand's own check instead of flat colour. Rendered in Spicy Orange over a black ground, the shapes read as camo from across the street and as checkerboard once you are close, which is a smarter trick than either pattern would manage alone. The suede and canvas upper gives the print two different surfaces to sit on, so the orange looks deeper on the suede panels.
True White handles the side stripe, the laces and the midsole, cooling down an upper that would otherwise be entirely warm tones. It released on August 11, 2018 at $60. The usual skate-shoe provisions are present: a padded collar for comfort at the ankle and a reinforced toe box that takes the abrasion first. Orange is a difficult colour to place in a wardrobe, and breaking it into small printed shapes rather than a solid dye is what makes this pair easier to wear than a monochrome version would be.
