Twenty-four versions is an unusual run for any product, and the Nimbus has managed it by changing slowly: the maximum-cushioning road shoe in Asics's line since the 1990s, updated annually and rarely reinvented. This one was an exception. The twenty-fourth moved to a newer midsole compound the company rates as roughly fifteen percent lighter and softer than the foam it replaced, with more rebound, which took around twenty grams off the shoe while making it feel plusher underfoot. The upper, midsole and outsole were all redrawn together, and a thin stretch tongue replaced the padded one. Reviewers who had found the twenty-third heavy came back around. This women's colourway runs cranberry through the mesh with frosted rose picking out the branding and sole, released in the autumn of 2022, a warmer palette than the model's usual greys and blues, and one of several the line carried that season.
