The eleventh GT-2000 is where the line stopped being the cheap option. ASICS moved it from a hundred and thirty dollars to a hundred and forty while leaving the GT-1000 at a hundred, opening a gap that pushed the two models further apart in the range and left the GT-2000 sitting closer to the middle of the market than the bottom of it.
What buyers got for the increase was refinement rather than redesign: the same combination of FlyteFoam cushioning, a rearfoot GEL unit and a medial support system, with upper and midsole tuning. The model kept the character reviewers had assigned it for years, lighter and more flexible than the Kayano and more versatile than most stability trainers.
Black with white anchors the launch group, dated to the start of December 2022. Several other colorways carry the same date, which is how ASICS tends to introduce a version: one drop, most of the range at once.
